- Provision of quarterly updates on regulatory change meetings dates/locations (worldwide)
- Provision of quarterly updates on RID/ADR regulatory review cycles (focusing on the impact to class 7)
- Provision of quarterly updates on EU Directives, International Conventions, International Regulations and UK Statutory Instrument; revocations renewals and changes. Quarterly Updates from the IAG Transport security forum
- Provision of quarterly updates on OECD changes affecting class 7 transport operations (e.g. Nuclear Liability Insurance protocol changes proposed by IAEA)
- National forum for reviewing IAEA regulatory changes and providing a united voice to justify any industry required changes to National or International Regulations
- Access to a nationally recognized transport industry platform for the collaborate applications for National Regulatory Authorisations or Derogations
- Access to a National body for collaborate applications for Fissile Exceptions
- Provision of quarterly updates from WNTI, RADSAFE, TCSC, SDF
- Forum to consult with the ONR RMT (Note – Regulator attendance is at every RAMTUC Meeting)
- Access to the nationally recognized transport industry platform to exchange views, ask questions to ensure industry consistency with live regulation and policy interpretation
- Provision of the RAMTUC Master L1 (General Awareness) and L2 (Basic Consignment Skills) course syllabi (setting a UK standard for class 7 training)
- Provision of the RAMTUC Master L3 Specialist Skills Training Course (prepared & delivered by RAMTUC members) and access to the development team
- Access to the nationally recognized transport industry platform for DGSA report sharing and LFE (transport event) monitoring and trending
- Provision of RAMTUC Guidance documents for operational consistency
- Provision of a DGSA Report template
- Access to reports from the Class 7 Carrier Audit function managed/funded by RAMTUC
- Access to member’s information sharing website
- Access to RAMTUC Secretariat support services
- Free attendance to the RAMTUC annual stakeholder seminar.
How to become a Member
RAMTUC CLG is only open to membership from corporate bodies involved in the consignment/transport of radioactive material. Members appointed act on behalf of their companies as Appointed Representatives. An annual fee of £3,000 is currently charged.
